A living legend, Brock Lesnar

April 14, 2013

Brock Lesnar, one of the most successful men in sports history, was born in Webster South Dakota in 1977, weighs 266 pounds at 6’3 (191 cm).  He is an American professional wrestler, actor, former mixed martial artist, and a professional football player. He is a former NCAA heavyweight champion in 2000, and was second place in 1999. He joined the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2002 and quit in 2004, where he won the WWE championship 3 times within 2 years.  After leaving the WWE, Lesnar pursued a career in the NFL. He played during the preseason for the Minnesota Vikings, but ended up being a late cut. Lesnar returned to professional wrestling at the end of 2005, and joined New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in his first match. Lesnar started his MMA career in 2007 where he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), with a record of 5 wins to 3 losses. In 2008, he captured the UFC heavyweight championship by beating the legend Randy Couture. In 2009, Lesnar suffered health issues; he suffered from diverticulitis which is an intestinal disorder, which required a surgery. In 2011, he suffered with another diverticulitis, and was forced to quit UFC due to his last 2 losses because of his disorder that left him in a weak condition. In 2012, after being treated, Lesnar returned to the WWE, and still is currently signed with the WWE where he works on part time appearances. As you can see, he has done it all, he has succeeded in every sport, and according to Dana White, the president of the UFC, Brock Lesnar is one of the strongest men to have ever stepped into the octagon.

I find it quite ironic how something that is staged is much more popular than something that is not. UFC is a real test while WWE is just a bunch of actors. Hollywood fighting.

  2. i really find this topic interesting and controversial, because UFC fans think that WWE is just bunch of actors that fight for money and fame while WWE fan will tell yes they are actors, but the stunts are real like the blood or when they jump from the top of the ring to another wrestler’s body. finally this is really very interesting topic keep it up.

  3. I know this guy and saw his fightings. Furious, powerful, ruthless – Brock possesses great skills in UFC. I remember his fight with Frank Mir. Brock was dominating, but, unfortunately, he was caught on submission and lost. Such a pitty! Anyway, Lesnar is one of the best MMA fighters.

Please guys don’t compare UFC and WWE. Clowns and gladiators are two different things.

  4. Brock is a vicious fighter both when he was at UFC and WWE, but although WWE is involve only acts but still it has many nice wrestling movements. Brock is avery determinant fighter in MMA and when he was in UFC , he didnt gave up adn tried his best and he was awareded that he won UFC heavy weight championship by beating Randy couture. He will stay a legend although he lost in wrestle Mania against Triple H.

This guy might be all muscle, but in my opinion he is far from being a legend. When he was in WWE he was acting, but when it came to real life fighting (UFC) he could not continue. he was beaten up by one of the weakest fighter..
